pāvāṭai (p. 313) s. Cloth spread on the ground, for a bride and bridegroom, or persons of distinction, to walk on; also a carpet used in seasons of festivity, நடை சீலை. 2. A petticoat, a skirt, பெண்களாடை. 3. A table-cloth, போசனபீடத்தின்மேலாடை. பாவாடைபோட--பாவாடைவிரிக்க, inf. To spread cloth on the ground in honorary decoration. பாவாடைப்பூ, s. A fall of the flowers of the இலுப்பை tree on he ground as a carpet. பாவாடையமுது. s. An offering to the gods. பாவாடைவீச, inf. To wave a white cloth as a signal. 2. To show a flag of truce. 32) *
