piṟitu (p. 319) appel. n. Another thing, மற்றது. 2. The other thing, that which is different, வேறு. (p.) பிறிதாராய்ச்சியணி, s. A figure of speech by which effects are said to take place without a cause, ஓரலங்காரம். பிறிதினவிற்சி, s. A figure of speech by which a common term is supplied by a descriptive one, as இராகுமனைவிக்குத்துக்கத் தைத்தந்தவன், he that gave grief to the wife of இராகு; instead of saying he that slew இராகு, ஓரலங்காரம்; [ex நவிற்சி.] பிறிதின்கிழமை, s. [in gram.] The relation between possessor and possessed when the latter is not a part of the former--oppos. to தற்கிழமை. See கிழமை. பிறிதுபடுபாட்டு, s.
