umpiḷikkai (p. 63) s. Land granted rent free, in consideration of the performance of certain services, மானியம். உம்பிளிக்கைக்கிராமம், s. A village granted on similar conditions. உம்பிளிக்கைவிடுதல், v. noun. Giving one a field or village to enjoy it freely. 7)

[prov.] The wadding of a gun--as தக்கை, துப்பாக் கித்தக்கை. 3. A species of Jack fruit, கானப் பலாக்காய். 4. Carpenter's chips, சிராய். சக்கைசக்கையாயுரிக்க, inf. To strip off any fibrous substance. 2. (fig.) To rail at or revile one. சக்கைசக்கையாய்ப்பிளக்க, inf. To cut or split into chips. சக்கையாய்க்கிடக்க, inf. To be insipid. சக்கையாய்ப்பிளிய, inf. To squeeze into a refuse. 2. (fig.) To press one hard to work. (c.) சக்கையன், s. [prov.] A person with a stout but incompact body. பலாக்காய்ச்சக்கை, s. [prov.] The rind or other refuse of jack fruit. மரச்சக்கை, s.
