purōkitaṉ (p. 326) s. purohita or family priest, who gives notice of and conducts the ceremonies of the household, &c., குலகுரு. W. p. 545. PUROHITA. 2. Prognosticator, வருங்காரியம்சொல்வோன். (c.) 3. Indra, இந்திரன். புரோகிதஞ்சொல்ல, inf. To prognosticate, as a Purohita. புரோகிதத்துவம், s. [sometimes புரோ கிதம்.] The profession of a புரோகிதன், or family priest. 2. Prognostication, புரோகிதத்தன்மை.
