puṟṟu (p. 328) s. [vul. புத்து, Tel. புட்ட.] Anthill, any hillock thrown up by animals. See கறையான். 2. Any thing scurvy, scrofulous, or cancerous, considered as resembling ant-hills, &c., as கன்னப்புற்று. 3. Hole of snakes ants, rats, &c., வளை. (c.) புற்றுப்புற்றாய்ப்புறப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. He is covered with scrofulous eruptions. புற்றிலேகிடந்தபுடையனெழும்பினதுபோல. As if a concealed beaver-snake should rush at one. புற்றாஞ்சோறு--புற்றாம்பழஞ்சோறு, s. White ants' nests, resembling a honeycomb, கறையான்கூடு. புற்றுக்காளான், s. An edible kind of mushroom. புற்றுமண், s.
