(சது.)-- of tigers there are different kinds, கொடிப்புலி, கழுதைப்புலி, சிறுபுலி, சிறுத்தைப்புலி, பெரும்புலி or வேங்கைப்புலி, &c., which see. புலிபோலப்பாய்ந்தான். He pounced [on me] like a tiger. புலிக்குட்டி, s. A tiger's whelp. புலிக்கொடியோன், appel. n. A king of the solar dynasty, (lit.) whose flag was a tiger. புலித்தடுக்கி--புலித்தொடக்கி, s. See சிலந்தி. புலியுறுமி, appel. n. [prov.] A kind of drum, sounding like the growl of a tiger, ஓர்பறை. 2. A watchman's rattle, கிறிச் சான். 3.
