puku (p. 321) --புகுது, கிறேன், புகுந்தேன், [com. பூந்தேன்.] வேன், புக, புகுத, v. n. [com. பூது, vul. பூரு, poetic புக்கு.] To enter, to penetrate, to go into, as into a hole or narrow place, to come in, நுழைய. 2. To enter upon, to undertake, to commence, to engage in or enter upon, தொடங்க. 3. To issue, to flow out, to extend--as the sight, செல்ல. 4. A thrifty kind of Indian hemp. பூஞ்சாட்டி, s. See சாட்டி. பூஞ்சாயம், s. Ruddy, dark color. பூஞ்சிட்டு, s. A kind of little bird. See சிட்டு. பூஞ்சுண்ணம், s. Farina of flowers, as பூந்தாது. பூஞ்சிறகு, s. Down of young birds. பூத்தட்டுதல், v. noun. Reducing melted wax to flakes by pouring it into water, in the process of whitening it, மெ ழுகைத்தகடாக்கல். (Jaff.) பூத்திரி--பூவர்த்தி, s. A kind of fireworks or rocket, held in the hand while discharged, from which flowers drop, ஓர்வகைவாணம். பூத்தொடுக்க, inf.
