pāvi (p. 313) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To imagine, to conceive, பாவனைசெய்ய. 2. To imitate, to represent, to personify, to personate, சாயல்காட்ட 3. To treat or act toward one well or ill, as if he were another character; to use or regard a thing as something else, பொய்யாய்நடிக்க. 4. To suppose, to fancy, to feign, to assume, எண்ண. 5. To form or contemplate a mental image of the deity, கடவுளுருவைத்தி யானிக்க-- The compounds in common use are கனமாகப்பாவிக்க, to treat one honorably; நீசமாகப்பாவிக்க, to treat one contumeliously; சுகமாகப்பாவிக்க, to fancy one's self well, when sick; உண்டுபாவிக்க, to confirm a lie; கண்டு பாவிக்க, to imitate; and form an image in the mind. கானமயிலாடக்கண்டிருந்தவான்கோழிதானுமதுவாகப் பாவிக்கும்.
