mrutōṉṟi (p. 344) s. [a corrupt. of Sa. Maruvaka. vul. மருதணி, also ஐவணம்.] A flowering shrub, the leaves, flowers and roots of which are used medicinally, and the leaves for a dye, Lawsonia spinosa, L. Henna or broad Egyptian Privet, ஓர்செடி. [Ains. v. 21. p. 9.] [ex மரு.] (c.) 63)
