iṟaicci (p. 57) s. Flesh, meat, மாமிசம். 2. One of the seven constituent parts of the body. See தாது. இறைச்சிகுத்தி, s. A spit. இறைச்சிப்பொருள், s. The properties, productions derived from the கருப்பொருள் of a soil. (See அகப்பொருள்.) 2. [in rhetoric.] A figurative mode of speech by which a country is described in relation to the productions or properties derived from its கருப்பொருள்--as குறிஞ்சிப்பூக்கொண்டு பெருந்தேனிழைக்குநாடு, a country enriched with the sweetest honey extracted from its mountainflowers. koṉṟai (p. 147) s. [improp. கொன்னை.] A genus of flower trees, கடுக்கை. Cassia,L. சரக்கொன்றை, சிறுகொன்றை, செழுமலர்க்கொன் றை, திருக்கொன்றை, புலிநகக்கொன்றை, பெருங் கொன்றை, பொற்கொன்றை, மயிர்க்கொன்றை, முட் கொன்றை, are varieties of கொன்றை. See those words. கொன்றைக்காய், s. The pods of the Cassia fistula--are sold as a drug, the pulp of them is taken as an electuary for costiveness, the flowers are also used medicinally. [Ainslie vol. l. p. 66.] கோ 9.
