mukṭu (p. 356) s. [gen. முகட்டின்.] The top of a hill or mountain, மலையினுச்சி. (சது.) 2. (c.) The ridge of a house, tவீட்டினுச்சி. 3. A long cross-beam of a house, விட்டம். 4. The zenith, உச்சி. அண்டமுகடு, s. See அண்டம். முகடுகட்ட--முகடுதெற்ற--முகடுமூட, inf. [sometimes முகடுமுறிக்க.] To construct the ridge of an ola-roof, கூரைவீட்டின் முகடுதொடுக்க. முகடுந்தல், v. noun. Overcoming, excelling, மேற்கொள்ளல். (இராமா.) முகடோடி, appel. n. [prov.] A long ridge-beam of a house, to which the rafters are fastened. முகட்டுப்பூச்சி, s. A bug, மூட்டைப் பூச்சி. முகட்டுவளை, s. [also மோட்டுவளை.] A beam as a cross-tie for rafters to keep them at a proper distance. முகட்டோடு, s. A ridge-tile. 6)

To raise a quarrel; to stir up anger, சண்டைமூட்ட. (c.) இரண்டையுமூட்டித்தை.Stitch these two together. நெருப்பைமூட்டிவிடு. Kindle the fire. அவன்மூட்டிக்கொண்டுநிற்கிறான். He is assiduously engaged. மூட்டல், v. noun. Conjoining. 2. Increasing, cherishing. (சது.) மூட்டு, v. noun. Excitement, provocation, எழுச்சி. 2. A joint, articulation, a knuckle, பொருத்து. 3. The bridle or bit of a horse, குதிரைக்கடிவாளம். 4. (R.) A covering, as மூட்டம். அவன்மூட்டுப்பருத்தஆள். He is a stout person. மூட்டிலடித்தல்.
