See கொடுந்தமிழ்நாடு.--Of hogs are, ஊர்ப்பன்றி, domestic hog; காட்டுப்பன்றி, wild hog; ஏய்ப் பன்றி, முள்ளம்பன்றி, a hedge hog, porcupine, கடற்பன்றி, a sea hog; இனப்பன்றி, கிளைப்பன்றி, wild hog in the herd. பன்றியோடிணங்கியகன்றுமலந்தின்னும். Even the calf, if associated with the hog, will eat excrement. பன்றிபோலேதின்கிறவன், appel. n. One who gormandizes like a hog. பன்றிக்கரணம், s. One of the astrological karna. Any thorny shrub, முட் செடிப்பொது. 2. The Indian night shade, Solanum Indicum; L. The root is used as a decoction in dysuria and Ischuria, ஓர்பூண்டு. --Note. Of முள்ளி are அடுக்குமுள்ளி, a thorn-bush, Indian Hyssop; ஆற்று முள்ளி, a thorny plant growing near rivers; கழுதைமுள்ளி, a thorn bush, Acanthus ilicifolius; செம்முள்ளி, a thorny plant, Barleria; நீர்முள்ளி, another thorny plant; வறள்முள்ளி, a medicinal thorn-bush. முள்ளிக்கீரை--முள்ளுக்கீரை, s.
