iṭi (p. 45) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To pound, beat in a mortar, comminute, pulverize, reduce to flour, தூளாக்க. 2. To strike with the fist, a club or any thing blunt, slantingly, not with a direct blow, தாக்க. 3. To push, gore as a beast, to thrust, to butt--as an old calf in sucking, முட்ட. 4. To thunder, eject thunder-bolts, இடியிடிக்க. 5. To beat so as to break, bruise or batter to pieces, demolish, shatter, தகர்க்க. 6. To speak forcibly and emphatically, to use strong language in order to make an impression, to urge, insist upon with earnestness, உறுதிசொல்ல. 7. v. n. To throb, beat-as the head when aching: to beat, pant, palpitate, துடிக்க. 8. To strike--as a vessel against the shore--as a gun fired, &c., உதைக்க. 9. tvẕ (p. 227) --தவழு, கிறேன், தவழ்ந்தேன், வேன், தவழ, v. n. To creep, to crawl, as infants, alligators, lizards, &c., ஊர. (c.) தண்மதிதவழுங்கோட்டு. Over the summit of which (a mountain) the cool moon creeps. (நைட.) தவழவாங்க, inf. [prov.] To drain away the whole of one's property--from the figure of holding him down, and robbing him. (c.) தவழவாங்கிக்கட்ட, inf. [prov.] To tie a bullock's neck to its forelegs, to prevent straying. 2. [prov.] A premature cocoa-nut, இளந்தேங்காய். முட்டுக்கால், s. A supporter, pedestal or beam to support an old wall or an inclined tree. 2. As முட்டிக்கால். முட்டுக்குத்த, inf. To fall upon the knees. (Beschi.) முட்டுக்குநிற்க, inf. To be ready to butt--as beasts. முட்டுக்கொடுத்தல், v. noun. Setting a beam or pole to support any heavy body. முட்டுச்சீலை, s. A menstruous cloth. முட்டுண்ண, inf. To be dashed against. (c.) முட்டுண்டுகுனிகிறது. Ducking the head after having struck it against a lintel; implying previous want of caution. முட்டுத்தொய்வு, v. noun. Difficulty of breathing, from pulmonary disease, or the approach of death. முட்டுப்பட, inf. To be pressed, perplexed, in difficulty, or extremity as one beset by creditors, &c. முட்டுப்பாடு, v. noun. muẕm (p. 358) s. A cubit-measure, containing two spans, இருசாண்கொண்டது. (c.) இந்தப்புடவைமுழமில்லை. This cloth is not long. முழக்கட்டை, s. A short cloth; anything wanting the full measure. முழக்கோல், s. A land-measurer's rod of eight cubits. 2. A cubit-measure. 3. A mason's rule of two cubits, தச்சர் வழங்குங்கோல். முழங்கால், s. Knee-joint. முழங்காலைமுடக்கு. Bow the knees. முழங்காற்சில்--முழங்காற்சிப்பி, s. Cap of the knee, the knee-pan. முழங்காற்படியிட, inf. To kneel, to kneel down. முழங்கை, s. Elbow. முழத்தடி, s.
