Conical pieces in the play of chess or ticklack, சூதாடுகருவி.--Of நாய், there are கடல்நாய், a seal; மரநாய், palmyra dog; நீர்நாய், மீனாய், a beaver; செந்நாய், a wild dog, கோ ணாய் or கோநாய், a wolf, (c.) நாயும்பேயுங்கொண்டுபோகின்றன. Dogs and devils (strangers) carry it away. நாய்க்குமுழுத்தேங்காய்தக்குமா. Of what use to the dog is an unbroken cocoanut? நாய்வேஷம்போட்டால்குலைத்தேதீரவேணும். If one disguise himsel as a dog he should bark. நாயரஞ்சி, s. As நாயுருவி. (R.) நாயாட்டம், Dog-like, mean, servile. நாயீ, s. A dog fly; [ex இ. நாயுணி, s. A kind of tick. நாயும்புலியும், s. A kind of play, with seeds, stones, &c., in squares. நாயுருவி, s. [sometimes நாய்குருவி.] A kind of plant, Achyranthes aspera, L. which forms one of the nine kinds of sacrificial fuel. See சமித்து.-- The root is used as a dentifrice, and from the skin of the root, a decoction is made as an aperient for infants. The leaves are bruised and applied to scorpion bites as a specific; [ex உருவி, penetrating as a biting dog.] There are two kinds, செந் நாயுருவி, the red, and வெண்ணாயுருவி, the white, which see. நாயுறக்கம், s. A species of Euphorbia neriifolia, as இலைக்கள்ளி. நாய்ப்பயறு, s. A leguminous plant, Indigofera glabra, L. நாய்ப்பாகல், s. A medicinal plant of the Senna species, Bryonia maysorensis. muẕu (p. 358) adj. All, entire, whole. முழுப்பூசினிக்காயைச்சோற்றோடேமறைக்கிறாயே...... You conceal an unbroken pumpkin in a dish of rice. [prov.] முழாள், s. A stout and robust person; a complete hand. --Note. For bodily labor, those employed, are reckoned thus: 1. காலாள், a little boy, a fourth of a man, as சிற்றாள்; 2. அரையாள், a half man; 3. முக் காலாள், three quarters of a full laborer; 4. முழாள், a full workman. முழுக்க, adv.
