kiḷppu (p. 111) கிறேன், கிளப்பினேன், வேன், கி ளப்ப, v. a. To detach or raise up some heavy thing; to raise up one side of a thing; to disengage, to dislodge, to displace, எழுப்ப. 2. To dig up, to heave or lift up, பூமியின்கீழிருப்பதைக்கிளப்ப. 3. To excite, to induce fever, heat, &c., சுரமுதலிய வற்றைஎழுப்ப. 4. To rouse, animate, urge, ஏவிவிட. 5. To instigate, to rouse persons or things that are still, மூட்டிவிட. 6. To agitate, to discuss, கதைகிளப்ப. 7. [prov.] To raise a wall in building, to erect, to cause to grow higher, சுவர்முதலியகிளப்ப. கிளப்பிவிட, inf. To excite, to instigate, to stir up. கல்லுக்கிளப்ப, inf. To dig up stones. காந்தியைக்கிளப்ப--காந்தலைக்கிளப்ப, inf. [vul.] To excite heat latent in the body--as by cold food, &c. கொதியைக்கிளப்பிவிட, inf. [vul.] To excite heat, fever, &c., in the system. 2. To increase heat in the ground--as a slight shower, &c. கோபத்தைக்கிளப்ப--எரிச்சலைக்கிளப்ப, inf. To stir up anger. தலைகிளப்ப--தலையைக்கிளப்ப, inf. To look, to raise one's head; to lift up the head--as one sick, &c. 2. fig. To begin to signalize one's self. பத்தியைக்கிளப்ப, inf. To excite devotion in one. பேரைக்கிளப்ப, inf. To get a name, to promote one's celebrity, or notoriety; to make illustrious. வாலைக்கிளப்ப, inf. To raise the tail, --as a dog, a calf, &c. வாதபித்தசிலேட்டுமங்களைக்கிளப்ப, inf.
