uḷ (p. 67) --உள்ளு, உள்ளுகிறேன், உள் ளினேன், உள்ளுவேன், உள்ள, v. a. To think, think of, consider, bear in mind, to remember, நினைக்க--as one of the ten அவத் தை. 2. To revolve, intend, எண்ண. (p.) கயந்தன்னைவைததையுள்ளிவிடும். The mean person will think of the reproach cast on him. (குறள்.) உள்ளல், v. noun. Thinking. உள்ளார், s. Foes, enemies, பகை ஞர். (p.) உள்ளிய, rel. part. ūẕ (p. 71) s. Antiquity, oldness, பழமை. 2. Rule, established usage, customs of long standing, or immemorial in their origin, the method, or order of performing things in regular succession முறை. 3. Original or natural state, quality, disposition, குணம். 4. Hatred, enmity, malice, பகை. 5. Sunshine, வெயில். (p.) 6. The entailment of actions performed in previous births, fate destiny; in the Hindu sense, the regular arrangement of events, by providence or fate, விதி. ஊழிற்பெருவலியாவுள. What is more powerful than destiny? போக்குமூழ்பலகழித்தி. Thou shalt pass many ages. (உபதேசகா.) ஊழ்த்துணை, s. A wife, the destined aid, a help mate, மனைவி. (p.) ஊழ்முறை, s. Order resulting from previous births, விதிமுறை. (p.) ஊழ்விதி, s. Destiny as resulting from the actions of previous births. பிராரத்துவவிதி. ஊழ்வினை, s. The actions of former births considered as the latent cause of the metempsychosis. ஊழ்வினைப்பயன், s. The sufferings and enjoyments entailed upon the sentient spirit in the varied course of the metempsychosis. 4)

kuḷi (p. 130) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. To bathe, exclusive of the head; to wash, to bathe, நீராட. 2. To dive for pearls, &c., முத்துசங்குமுதலியனகுளிக்க. 3. (fig.) To set, descend below the horizon--as the sun, அஸ்தமிக்க. 4. (fig.) To plunge or bathe, to be daubed or covered with, மூழ்க. 5. (Rott.) To hide, to be hid, மறைய. முக்காலுங்காகமுழுகிக்குளித்தாலும் வெள்ளைக்கொக்கா குமோ? Will a crow by bathing three times become a white crane? அவன்பால்தயிரிலேகுளித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தவன்.... [prov.] He was brought up to eat (bathe in) milk and curds. குளிக்கவார்க்க, inf. To pour water on another for bathing. குளிப்பாட்ட, inf. To bathe or wash a child, &c., except the head; to wash animals, &c. குளிசீலை, s. The fore-lap or under-cloth, principally used in bathing, கோவணம். குளிப்பு, v. noun. Washing, bathing, &c. குளி, v. noun. Diving for pearls or chanks, முத்துக்குளி, சங்குக்குளி. குளிகாரன்--குளியாள், s. A diver for pearls, chanks, &c. குளிசங்கு, s. Chanks fished in the sea. குளியோட, inf. To seek for pearls, chanks, &c., in the water. சங்குகுளிக்க, inf. T dive for chanks. தீக்குளிக்க, inf. To bathe in the fire, to be burnt--as a widow at her husband's death. 2. To bathe in or be covered with coals of fire--as some women to defend their chastity. மஞ்சட்குளிக்க, inf. To daub with a thin paste of turmeric--as women in bathing. புழுதிகுளிக்க, inf. To become covered with dust--as children in play, or persons in a dust storm. குளிகுளிக்க, inf. [local.] To be delivered of a child, பிள்ளைப்பெற. குளிதோஷம், s. A disease of infancy, குழந்தைப்பற்றினஓர்வியாதி. குளிப்பிடப்பாறுகள், s. [prov.] The banks of a pearl fishery.

ceṟi (p. 206) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To secure, put in safe custody, keep safely, deposit securely, காக்க. 2. To fasten, close, நெருக்க. 3.
