tātu (p. 233) s. (Sa. Dha'tu.) A principle, constituent or elementary part in nature, பூதவணு. 2. (c.) Artery, nerve, pulse, muscle in common, நரம்பு. 3. Any of the seven constituent parts of the body, இரசமாதியேழு. 4. Any one of the five elements, மண்ணாதி யைந்து. 5. The filaments of a flower, பூந் தாது. 6. The தாதுமாதளை tree. (சது.) 7. To bind or cause absorption, or extinction of the seminal principle in the system, as ascetics; or to promote longevity. தாதுகலிக்க, inf. To be emitted as semen. தாதுநஷ்டம், s. Nocturnal pollution in sleep, by disease, &c. See ஸ்கலிதம். தாதுபார்க்க, inf. To feel the pulse. தாதுபுஷ்டி--தாதுவிருத்தி, s. A healthy state of the semen. (c.) தாதுமாதளை, s. A flowering pomegranate without fruit, பூமாதளை. தாதுமூலசீவன், s. [in divination.] A three fold division of nature, தாது denoting the mineral, மூலம், the vegetable and சீவன், the animal kingdoms, one of which is sent by an applicant to the diviner. தாதுரோகம், s.
