An instrument of torture for the hand, consisting of two sticks forming a kind of vise, and used in trials by ordeal; also a similar instrument for castrating bullocks, and pressing out medicinal oils, இறுக்குகோல். 2. Sticks that confine the bullock's head to the beam in drawing, நுகக்கிட்டி. 3. The larger of a pair of sticks used by boys in play; a round bat, சிறுவர் விளையாட்டுக்கருவியிலொன்று. 4. A cymbal, கைத் தாளம். 5. An hour-basin, நாழிகைவட்டில். 6. A plant, சின்னி, Isoetes, L. கிட்டிகட்ட, inf. To torture with the கிட்டி. கிட்டிகட்டிக்கேட்க, inf. To examine by torture with the கிட்டி. 2. To press intolerably--as a debtor. கிட்டிக்கலப்பை, s. A small kind of plough; commonly a plough worn out by use and age, சிறுகலப்பை. கிட்டிக்கிழங்கு, s. The root of the plant கிட்டி, சின்னிக்கிழங்கு. கிட்டிக்கோல்--கிட்டிப்பந்து--கிட்டித் தடி, s. The கிட்டி--as in the first two meanings. கிட்டிபுள்ளு--கிட்டியும்புள்ளும், s. The two sticks used in boy's play. கிட்டிப்பூட்ட, inf. To torture with கிட்டி. 2. To fix the yoke on the bullock's neck. கிட்டிபோட்டிறுக்க, inf. To use the கிட்டி torture. 2. kilukilukk (p. 111) inf. To rattle; to make a tinkling, crackling sound; to ring, கிலுகி லென்றொலிக்க. கிலுகிலுப்பை, s. The name of a plant whose seeds rattle in the legumen, when ripe and dry, ஓர்செடி, Crotolaria labumifolia, L. 2. A kind of child's rattle, ஓர் விளையாட்டுக்கருவி. கிலுகிலுப்பைக்குட்டான், s. [prov.] A child's basket-rattle. வட்டக்கிலுகிலுப்பை--வெள்ளைக்கிலுகிலு ப்பை, s. A species of the கிலுகிலுப்பை plant, Crotolaria verrucosa. கிலுகிலெனல், v. noun. Rattling--as seed, &c., ஒலிக்குறிப்பு. 2. Sounding, buzzing--as flies swarming; swarming, collecting thick together--as maggots in a sore, crawling one over another, &c., தேனீமுதலியமூசல். ஈசல் கிலுகிலென்றெழும்புகின்றது. The winged white-ants are swarming, and flying up with a buzz. சனங்கள் கிலுகிலென்றுவந்துவிழுந்தார்கள். The people thronged or flocked rapidly one after another. 28)
