viẕu (p. 398) கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், விழ, v. n. To fall down, to fall, to fall off--in--out-through; to fall, or sink, as the pulse. 2. To enter, to join, சேர. 3. To be apportioned, allotted, to happen by nature, as ஆரம்விழுந்தகிளி. 4. To die, சாக. (c.) மரத்திலிருந்துவிழுந்தான். He fell down from the tree. அவன்நினைவுஅதிலேவிழுந்தது.... His mind is fixed upon it. இன்னஞ்சரக்குவந்துவிழவேண்டும். The arrival of goods is still expected. நாடிவிழுந்தது. The pulse ceased. விலைவிழுந்துபோயிற்று..... The price [of the grain, &c.] is low. அவர்விழுந்துபட்டுபோனார். He is dead. ஒருவன்மேல்விழுகிறது. Attacking one. சீட்டவன்பேருக்குவிழுந்தது. The lot cast fell to his name. விழக்குழி, s. A pitfall, (R.) விழக்குழிப்பாய்ச்சுகிறது. (lit.) Thrusting one into a pit, (met) making one's business fail, endangering one. விழத்தட்ட--விழத்தள்ள, inf. To thrust one so as to make him fall. 2. To dash a thing out of another's hand. விழத்தாட்ட, inf. To throw one down, &c. See தாட்டு. விழுசுமை, s. A very heavy burden, load or bundle. விழல்--விழுகை, v. noun. Falling. பாவநடைவிடலொன்றேநரகத்தில்விழலொன்றே, இவ்விரண்டிலொன்றுதப்பாது. Either [one] must forsake sin or fall into hell; one of the two cannot fail. (Beschi.) விழலாண்டி, s.
