veṟṟi (p. 401) --வெற்றம், s. [poetice வென்றி.] Conquest, victory, success; [ex வெல்.] (சது.) வெற்றிகாண, inf. To gain a victory, to overcome, to surpass. 2. To win, to gain. வெற்றிகொள்ள, inf. To conquer, to obtain a victory. வெற்றிக்கரந்தைமஞ்சரி, s. A panegyric on an army crowned with garlands of கரந்தை flowers, and marching to attack an enemy. வெற்றிக்கொடி, s. The flag of victory. வெற்றிசூட, inf. To wear the conqueror's wreath. 2. To conquer. (p.) வெற்றித்தம்பம், s. A post set up as a monument of victory, a trophy. வெற்றிப்பாடு, s. Victory.
