cārāyam (p. 178) s. Spirituous liquors, arrack, வெறிகொள்ளுமோர்பானம்; [ex Sa. Kshara or Sara.] (c.) சாராயங்கொடுத்துப் பூராயமறி. Give a person a draught of arrack, and you can elicit the hidden emotions of his heart. சாராயக்காரன், s. An arrack-seller. சாராயக்கடை, s. An arrack-shop. சாராயக்குத்தகை, s. Arrack-rent. சாராயப்பாவாலை, s. [loc.] A vessel for receiving distilled spirits, வடிபானை. சாராயவெறி, s. Intoxication, inebriation, &c., by drinking arrack. சாராயக்கிடங்கு, s. [prov.] An arrack tavern.
