A go-between, one who negotiates affairs for others, commonly in an ill sense. உதவியாய்க்கருமம்நடத்துவோன். A male elephant, ஆண்யானை. மாகாணி, s. One-sixteenth, a fractional part. ஆயிரமாகாணிஅறுபத்திரண்டரை. A thousand sixteenths make sixty two and a half மாக்கருவி, s. A saddle, குதிரைக்கல் லணை. The tender foliage of mango-trees, or the first shootings of mango-leaves. மாந்தளிர்ப்பச்சை, s. A kind of green stone, ஓர்பச்சைக்கல். மாந்தோப்பு, s. A mango-grove. மாப்பிசைதல், v. noun. Kneading. மாப்புளித்தல்--மாவுப்புதல். Becoming leavened. மாமரம், s. The mango-tree. மாம்பழம், s. A ripe mango. மாவடு, s. A very young unripe mangofruit. மாவரைத்தல், v. noun. Grinding corn. மாவலர், s. [pl.] Horsemen, குதிரைப் பாகர். 2. Elephant-drivers, யானைப்பாகர். மா மாவிடைமரவிடை, s. All kinds of beasts and trees. மாவிடைமாவிடைசலம்நிதிபாஷாணமுள்பட விற்றே ன். I have sold the beasts, water, hidden treasures and stones contained [in the ground]; a form of a deed. மாவிலைத்தோரணம், s. A string of mango-leaves. See தோரணங்கட்ட. மாவிளக்கு, s. An offering of kneaded flour in the midst of which a little pit is made for oil or ghee to burn, as in a lamp. மாவிளக்கெடுக்க, inf. To make an offering as above. மாவிறங்குதல், v. noun.
