coruku (p. 211) கிறேன், சொருகினேன், வேன், சொருக, v. a. (also செருகு.) To stick in, put in, insert, tuck in, side in a thing, நுழைக்க. 2. To fix the eyes as in fainting, or in death, கண்ணைச்சொருக. He speaks broken language; (lit.) half and quarter words. அப்படிச்சொல்லு. Say so--as a command; or as meaning--that is right. ஒருசொல்லுள்ளமனிதன்--ஒருசொல் வாசகன், s. A man steadfast to his word. சொல்லிற்பிழைதேட, inf. To detect a fault in speech. சொல்லணி--சொல்லலங்காரம், s. [in Rhetoric.] Figures founded in words, as distinguished from figures of thought. Strictly speaking there is no increased meaning given to a word in Tamil, by a stress laid upon it; this is done by intensitive particles. சொல்லறுதி, s. [prov.] To articulate indistinctly, as when having the mouth filled with food. வாய்கிறுது, s. Arrogant speech. வாய்கிறதுபேசினாலுதைவரும். If one speak arogantly a kick will follow. வாய்குளிற, inf. To bawl, to vociferate, இரைய. 2. As வாய்வெருவ. வாய்கொடுக்க, inf. To kindle a quarrel. வாய்கொடாமலிருக்கிறது. Being silent. 2. Being unfriendly. வாய்க்கட்டை, s. A gag for a mouth, in abuse. 2. [in cant.] Bribery. வாய்க்கணக்கு, s. Mental arithmetic. 2. Account kept in the memory. வாய்க்கரிசி, s. A ceremony of putting rice into the mouth of a corpse before burning. கூத்தரிசிகுற்றுகிறவீட்டிலேவாய்க்கரிசிக்குவழியி ல்லை. In a rice-pounding-house, there is not a handful for a corpse; those who have abundance have nothing to give. வாய்க்காசு, s. The money cast with rice upon a corpse. 2. Money given to a witness. வாய்க்காடிவார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. Being very sorrowful, (lit.) having vinegar poured into the mouth. வாய்க்கால், s. Water-course, நீரோடுங் கால். 2. (p.) To speak without sense, or incoherently. வாய்புதைக்க--வாய்பொத்த, inf. To shut the mouth with the palm of the hand, as children in fear or wonder. வாய்பூச, inf. To wash the mouth. 2.
