The whole period of hours during which a திதி, வாரம், கரணம், யோகம் or நட்சத்திரம் lasts. பரமநிஷ்டை, s. Contemplation on the deity, the mind being entirely set upon பரமநிவர்த்தி, s. Final liberation from anxieties, and secularities, &c., பாச விமோசனம். பரமபதம், s. The heaven of a god, more especially of Vishnu, as bestowed on his followers. பரமபதவாசி, s. An atom, the invisible base of aggregate bodies; In Wils. thirty of them are supposed to form a mote in a sunbeam, பொருண்மூலம். 2. [in modern usage.] Atmosphere, ஆகா யம்.--The atomic bases of the five elements, called பஞ்சபூதஅணு, are பிருதுவிப் பரமாணு, atomic base of earth, being water; 2. அப்புப்பரமாணு, of water, being fire; 3. தேயுப்பரமாணு, atomic base of fire, being air; 4. வாயுப்பரமாணு, of air or wind. being ether; 5. ஆகாயப்பரமாணு, of ether being maya. பரமாத்துமம்--பரமாத்துமா, s. The soul of the universe. 2. The Deity or universal soul, as contrasted with சீவாத் துமா, the human soul. பரமாத்துமன், s. God as the soul of the world, கடவுள். 2. (fig.) A saint, or glorified spirit, சுத்தாத்துமா. பரமாயு--பரமாயுஸ், s. Great age, தீர்க்காயு. 2. Full age according to one's maturity. பரமாபமம், s. The inclination of a planet's orbit to the equator; [ex அபமம்.] பரமார்த்தம், s. Any excellent or important aim, or object, மேலானபொருள். 2. A kind of spiritual knowledge which reveals the vanity and illusion of the world, மெய்ஞ்ஞானம். 3. [com. in irony.] Simplicity. பரமார்த்தகுரு--பரமார்த்தன், s. milēccam (p. 354) s. A country to the North of the Saraswati river in the neighborhood of Delhi, சரச்சுவதியாற்றின்வடதேசம். (சது.) மிலேச்சசாதிகள், s. Barbarous nations, foreigners. The tribes enumerated under this head by Menu, appear to be principally the inhabitants of the countries bordering on India, north and south; especially those adjacent to Bengal and Behar, and on the Southern part of the Coromandel coast, which are severally called Paundrakas, O'dras (Uriyas), and Draviras; also the Cambojas; Yavanas (Greeks or Bactrians); Sakas; Paravas; Pahlavas (ancient Persians); Chinese; Kiratas, generally mountaineers; Deradas (Darad&ae;) and K'hasas (Scuthi). W. p. 677.--Note. The term is now applied, more especially, to Europeans, and those from any remote country. மிலேச்சதேசம்--மிலேச்சமண்டலம், s. A foreign country, a country on the borders of India.--According to Wills. any country where the black antelope is not found. மிலேச்சத்தனம், s. Clownishness, barbarism. மிலேச்சன், s. [fem. மிலேச்சி, மிலேச் சஸ்திரீ.] A barbarian, one of a foreign tribe, of a foreign religion, customs, &c., கண்டகன்.-- According to Wils. one speaking any language but Sanskrit, and not subject to the usual Hindu institutions. 2. A weak man, simpleton, dunce, dolt, பேதையன். 3. A clown, clodhopper, மடையன்.
