A murderer, an assassin. 2. An executioner. 3. A killer, slaughterer, butcher. கொலைக்களம், s. A place of public execution. கொலைசூழ--கொலைசுற்ற, inf. To contrive or compass one's death. (p.) 2. To find out the guilt of murder. கொலைசெய்ய, inf. To kill, slay; to commit murder, take away life, to butcher. கொலைஞர், s. Assassins, murderers, killers, butchers, கொலைபாதகர். 2. Hunters; those who live by the chase, வேடர். (p.) கொலைபாதகம், s. The crime or guilt of murder; taking away life, human or other--chiefly of men or cows; one of the five heinous sins. See பாதகம். கொலைபாதகன், s. A heinous killer, or murderer. கொலைப்பழி, s. The blame or guilt of murder. கொலைமறுத்தல், v. noun. Denouncing all killing. This is scrupulously done by Jainas under all circumstances. கொலையுண்ண, inf. To be killed. 109)

nṉṟi (p. 272) s. [vul. நண்ணி.] Goodness, நன் மை. 2. A good, a benefit, a kindness, a favor, பட்சம். 3. Gratitude, செய்நன்றி; [ex நல்.] (c.) நன்றிகெட, inf. To be ungrateful. நன்றிகெட்டவன்--நன்றியற்றவன்--நன் றியில்லாதவன். appel. n. An ungrateful man. நன்றிகொல்லுதல்-நன்றிகோறல், v. noun. Being ungrateful, (lit.) slaying benefits, செய்நன்றிமறத்தல். (p.) See கொல், v. நன்றிசொல்ல, inf. To acknowledge benefits, to thank. நன்றிநினைக்க, inf. To remember benefits, to be grateful. நன்றிமறத்தல், v. noun. Forgetting benefits. நன்றிமறப்பதுநன்றன்றுநன்றல்லதன்றேமறப்பது நன்று. To forget a benefit is bad; to forget an injury is good. நன்றிமறவேல். Forget not a benefit. (Avu.) நா நாவெடுக்கவில்லை. He did not presume to answer. நாவெழவில்லை--நாவெழும்பவில்லை. My tongue did not move to retort. எடுத்தநாபடுத்துரைக்கவில்லை. He moved his tongue but spake not; i. e. was silenced (by my arguments). தீயினாற்சுட்டபுண்ணுள்ளாறுமாறாதே நாவினாற்சுட்ட வடு. The blister from a burn will heal, the brand of the tongue is indelible. நன்றியறிதல், v. noun. Being grateful, நன்றியுணர்தல். நன்றியில்செல்வம், s. Riches not used in doing good. (p.) நன்றியீனம், s. Ingratitude. நன்றியுள்ளவன், s. A grateful man. 15)
