kuntu (p. 121) கிறேன், குந்தினேன், வேன், குந்த, v. n. To sit; to sit on the legs, to squat, குந்தியிருக்க. 2. To stand on the end of the toe, காற்படங்குந்த. குந்துகாலிலேநிற்க, inf. To stand on tip-toe. 2. To wait impatiently--as anxious to go. 3. To tarry but a moment--as one in haste. சுவர்குந்துகாலிலேநிற்கிறது. The wall inclines, ready to fall. குந்தினபடியிருக்கிறான். He is still sitting; i. e. still resolved on obtaining his demand. குந்துதிண்ணை, s. A step used as a seat, at the front margin of the verandah, or ends. See ஒட்டுத்திண்ணை. குந்்து, v. noun. A squatting posture. குந்துகை. 2. The margin of a raised verandah or of a raised floor, serving as a seat, திண்ணைக்குந்து. 26) *

mṇṭi (p. 341) s. Sediment, dregs, settlings, lees, வண்டல். 2. A warehouse, in which grain is stored, களஞ்சியம். 3. A large market place, பெரியகடை. 4. A bending or squatting posture of the body; sitting like a monkey, மண்டிபோட்டிருக்கை. (c.) மண்டிக்கால்போட--மண்டிபோட-மண்டியிட, inf. To stand firm with the legs bent, as archers. மண்டித்தண்ணீர், s.
