cukirtam (p. 192) s. [improp. சுகுர்தம்.] W. p. 927. SUKRUTA. Virtue, morality, goodness, moral merit, meritorious deeds, நல் லறம். 2. Goodness, நன்மை. 3. The practice of religious austerities, தவஞ்செய்கை. 4. Reward, recompense, especially an inferior heaven--as the reward of virtue, புண்ணியபலன். 5. Deliciousness, delightsomeness, இன்பம். 6. [ex சு, et கிருதம்.] Ghee, நெய். சுகிர்தகுறள், s. A famous R. Cath. work on morality, a sacred poem in couplets. சுகிர்தசாலி, s. A meritorious person, one who enjoys the reward of moral merit. (R.) சுகிர்தபோசனம், s. Delicious food. சுகிர்தன், s. A well-wisher, one welldisposed, a virtuous person. 2. One receiving in this life the reward of virtue in a former birth. சுகிர்தநூல், s. A treatise on religion and morality. சுகிர்தபலன்--சுகிர்தபுண்ணியம், s. The merit of works. சுகிர்தமடைய, inf. To obtain felicity of any kind, short of supreme bliss. சுகிர்தவசனம், s. Good sayings, auspicious words. 2. Gratifying discourse. அதிலேஒரு சுகிர்தமுமில்லை. There is no virtue in it. 27) *
