aẕu (p. 32) கிறேன், தேன், வேன், அழ, v. n. To weep, cry, இரங்க. 2. To bewail, lament, புலம்ப. 3. To whine, சிணுங்க. 4. To low, bellow, (as a cow for its call), bleat, (as a sheep), mew, (as a cat), caw, (as a crow), cry or hoot, (as an owl), கத்த. In some of these a cry of distress or anxiety is indicated as of the dam for its young. குடல்கூழுக்கழக்கொண்டைபூவுக்கழுகிறதா? Would you by adorning your hair with flowers while your belly is craving food? ஆண்டாண்டுதோறுமழுதுபுரண்டாலும் மாண்டார் வருவரோ மாநிலத்தில்? aẕuku (p. 32) கிறது, அழுகினது, ம், அழுக, v. n. To rot, putrify, decay, corrupt, பத னழிய. 2. To be raw as sores, ulcers, &c. புண்ணழுக. அழுகல், s. Rotten fruit, &c., anything rotten or putrified, அழுகினது. அழுகிக்கெட்டுப்போதல், v. noun. Decaying gradually. அழுகுசப்பாணி, s. A sore on the hands or feet--supposed to be from the lick of a poisonous reptile--causing the flesh to putrify and drop off by little and little, ஓர்விடநோய். 2. The poisonous reptile causing the sore, அழுகு சர்ப்பம். அழுகுசர்ப்பம், s. The name of a reptile whose lick is supposed to be poisonous, ஓர்விஷசெந்து. அழுகுணி, s. A kind of eruption, chiefly about the ears, ஓர்கரப்பன். 13)

She has an unclean head, i. e. she has her menses. அழுக்ககற்றி, s. Lie or lixivium. அழுக்கடைய, inf. To grow unclean, dirty. அழுக்கணவன், s. A small insect, blight, &c. about plants, leaves, &c., ஓர்புழு; [ex அண், adhering, et அன், termination.] அழுக்கறுக்க, inf. To be envious, to show envy, பொறாமைகொள்ள. (குறள்.) அழுக்காமை, s. A species of tortoise whose shell is used for the handle of penknives, &c., ஓராமை. அழுக்கானமனம், s. An envious mind. அழுக்கின்மை, s. Purity, immaculateness, spotlessness. 2)
