Influence of a planet on one's life, or fortune, according to the time allotted for it in the horoscope, favorable or unfavorable, கிரகபலம். (See தசை.) 3. Influence excited on the soul in any given period, state, stage, &c., during its transmigrations. (See முத்ததிசை and பெத்ததிசை.) 4. Principality, jurisdiction, princedom, பிர புவின்தேசம். (c.)--Note. The two திசை in the சரநூல் are: 1. இயங்குதிசை, the nostril through which the breath, passes for the time being; sometimes called, பூரணதிசை. 2. சூனியதிசை, the nostril through which the breath does not pass. See சூனியம். அவனுக்குத்திசையடிக்கிறது. A good planet is lavishing its favors on him. திசை, 4. The four cardinal points, also applied by some to the four boundaries of the Tamil country. 1. குண கடல் or கீழ்கடல், the sea to the east. 2. குடகுமலை, a mountain to the west. 3. குமரி, Cape Comorin, to the south, 4. வேங்கடம், a mountain to the north or திருப்பதி. திசைகட்ட, inf. To bind the points of compass by mantras. See திருக்குக்கட்ட. திசைக்காற்று, s. Wind which blows from some one point of the compass. திசைச்சொல்--திசைமொழி, s. Provincial words. See சொல். திசைதப்பிவர, inf. To arrive at a place undesignedly, having missed the proper road. 2. [ironically.] To say to one coming after a long interval as a slight reproof, you must have come by mistake. திசைமுகன், s. Brahma whose four faces are turned toward the four points respectively, பிரமன். திசையடிக்க--திசையடுக்க, inf. To be under the influence of a good planet; to be in fortunate circumstances. திசையுடையவர், appel. n. (Hon.) The principal of a district. See உடையார். எல்லாத்திசைக்கும். (கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், தீர.) To polish or grind gems, clean gems, சா ணைதீர. 1. To fire off a cannon or musket, வெடிதீர. 11. To dye, stain, tinge, imbue with color, சாயந்தீர. 12. To finish, as the interlude between the stanzas in singing, playing, dancing, beating time, &c., தாளந் தீர. 13. To levy duty, assess a tax, &c. சுங்கந்தீர. 14. To solve a problem or make any mathematical calculation, கணக் குத்தீர. (c.) 15. (R.) To draw out in a line, as பார்தீர, to draw out troops in ranks. எனக்குவரத்தீராது. I cannot come. அவர்கள் பலவந்தம்செய்ததனால் தீராதென்று கொடு டுக்கவேண்டியிருந்தது. By their pressing (he said) it will not cease; it is necessary to give--Note தீராது, in such cases has a peculiar meaning. தாளந்தீர்ந்தான். He finished a tune. அதற்குவர்ணந்தீர்ந்தான். He painted it. இவன்தீர்ந்தசாமி. He is a brave fellow; (lit.) a brave god. (In irony.) தீர்கடை, s. The last end of a thing, termination, conclusion, முடிவு. 2. Absoluteness, entireness, முழுமை. தீர்ந்தகணக்கு. A settled account. தீர்ந்தகள்ளன், s. A finished rogue, a thorough villain, desperate thief. தீர்ந்தசரக்கு, s. (neg. தீராதசரக்கு.) Goods on which duty is paid. 2. Goods bargained for. தீர்ந்தபட்சம், s. The final settlement of accounts, disputes, &c. தீர்ந்தவன், s. A skilful, experienced man; an adept. (Commonly in a bad sense.) தீர்ந்தவேலை, s. A finished work. பட்டைதீர, inf. To give sides to a gem, to a piece of timber, or to a stone, in cutting or polishing. சாயந்தீர்கிறவன், s. A dyer. நவைதீருமாகமம், s. The faultless Agamas. (p.) தீர, inf. [used adv.] Altogether, entirely, perfectly, absolutely, thoroughly, completely, முழுவதும். தீரப்படித்தவனொருவனுமில்லை. It is of two kinds, அரசிலைப்பஞ்சாயுதம், one made in the form of fig-leaf; வட்டப்பஞ்சாயுதம், one in a circular form, ஓராபரணம். பஞ்சாயுதபாணி-பஞ்சாயுதன், s. Vishnu, as bearing the five weapons. பஞ்சார்க்கம், s. A pitfall, (R.) விழக்குழிப்பாய்ச்சுகிறது. (lit.) Thrusting one into a pit, (met) making one's business fail, endangering one. விழத்தட்ட--விழத்தள்ள, inf. To thrust one so as to make him fall. 2. To dash a thing out of another's hand. விழத்தாட்ட, inf. To throw one down, &c. See தாட்டு. விழுசுமை, s. A very heavy burden, load or bundle. விழல்--விழுகை, v. noun.
