tākam (p. 232) s. Thirst, நீர்வேட்கை. 2. Desire, eagerness, appetency, ஆசை. (c.) 3. One of the punishments of the soul, உயிர்வேதனையினொன்று. (Sa. Dáaha.) அதிலேஅவனுக்குத்தாகமில்லை. He has no desire for it. இவன்பணத்தின்மேல்தாகமாயிருக்கிறான். He is greedy after money. தாகசாந்தி, s. Allaying thirst, விடாய் தணிக்கை. தாகசுரம், s. (St.) Fever attended with great thirst, inflammatory fever. தாபசுரம். தாகந்தீர்க்க--தாகந்தணிக்க, inf. To allay or slake thirst. தாகப்புளி, s. An acid drink to quench thirst, விடாய்தணிக்கும்புளிப்புள்ளநீர். 2. An acid preparation to be eaten for thirst, தவனப்புளி. தாகமெடுக்க, inf. To become thirsty, o thirst. பசிதாகம், s. Supporting, cherishing, &c., பராமரிப்பு; [ex தேடு, v.] தேட்டாண்மை, s. (com. தேட்டாமை.) Great industry, aptness at acquiring, thriftiness, பொருள்தேடும்முயற்சி. தேட்டாளன், s.
