VATSANAB'HA.--To this there colors; 1. அந்தணநாபி, the brahmanical, white; 2. சத்திரியநாபி, the kingly, red; 3. வைசியநாபி, the merchants, blue; 4. சூத் திரநாபி, the laborers, black. வச்சநாபி, s. [improp. பச்சநாபி.] A strong poison said to be procured from the Acorus Calamus, வசம்பு, when very old and after frequent transplanting. Some say it is the root of the தான்றி plant. வச்சநாபியையுப்புப்பார்ப்பார்களா. Do people taste the நாபி poison?--a mode of asseriing they do not. 110)
