Attachments are of two kinds, அகப்பற்று, internal attachment, connexion of the affections. 2. புறப்பற்று, external attachments, connexion by births, friendship, marriage, secular pursuits &c. பற்றற, inf. To be broken off as affection, friendship, attachment, earthly ties. 2. To be extirpated, exhausted, to be extinct; used also as an adverb. பற்றுக்கொண்டுபோய்விட்டான். He has taken all away. பற்றாக்கை, s. [also பற்றார்க்கை.] A cord or string to tie a bunch of arrows, அம்புகட்டுங்கயிறு. 2. A cord in general for tying, கட்டுங்கயிறு. (சது.) பற்றிலி, appel. n. One free from sensual attachments--as the Deity, or an advanced devotee. பற்றுக்கால், s. Supporter of a lever, or swing. பற்றுக்குறடு, s. A pair of tongs; sometimes பற்றுகுறடு. பற்றுக்கொள்ள, inf. To be attached, as the mind to earthly things. பற்றுக்கொண்டாட, inf. To be greatly attached to objects of sense. பற்றுக்கோடு, s.
