A small hole, nook or corner--as the parting between the fingers or teeth, the arm-pit, any parting where a thing becomes infixed, confined, pressed, &c., a recess, சந்து. 3. Narrowness, trouble, துன்பம். பல்லிடுக்கிலேயகப்பட்டுக்கொண்டது. It has stuck between the teeth. இடுக்கணி, s. A narrow passage through posts to a field, for men, which cattle cannot pass, கடவைமரம். இடுக்குமுடக்கு--இடுக்குமுடுக்கு, s. A close, confined place, a narrow corner, முட்டுச்சந்து. 2. To roll a ball, or wheel, trundle a hoop, &c., to wheel a barrow, to bowl, turn about, revolve a thing on a plane, to whirl, (a discus, &c.), passing through the air at right angles with the horizon, உருளச்செய்ய. 2. [prov.] To defeat a rival by arguments, sophistry, &c., to overcome in athletic exercises, games, to overmatch, வெல்ல. 3. To beat a drum rapidly, to beat a ruffle, மத்தளம்விரை வாயடிக்க. 4. Guiding the wheel of power as the sovereign of the universe. அவனைப்புடையனுருட்டும். The beaver snake will bite, will tumble him over (and bite him). (A curse.) உருட்டித்தைக்க, inf. To roll and sew a border--a kind of hemming. உருட்டிப்பார்க்க--உருட்டிவிழிக் க, inf. To roll the eyes and look intently with signs of anger or intimidation. உருட்டிப்போட, inf. To roll a ball, &c. 2. To defeat by arguments, by a display of skill, or by sophistry, to overcome in games, &c., புரட்டிவிட, 3. To be the cause of ruin to a family, &c., அழித்துப்போட. அசத்தியமந்தக்குடியையுருட்டிபோட்டது. Perjury has ruined the family. ஆனையவனையுருட்டிப்போட்டது. The elephant rolled him over and over. உருட்டுதிரைக்கடல், s. The sea with rolling billows. குளிகையுருட்ட--மாத்திரையுருட் ட, inf. To form or make pills. (Med.) நாயுருட்ட, inf. To tumble down and bite--said of a dog. வாயாலுருட்ட, inf. To use sophistry, to dispute clamorously. கவறுருட்ட, inf. To throw dice'. உருட்டு, v. noun. That which is unrestrainable, unmanageable, ungovernable. கட்டுக்கட்ட, s. To tie up a pack, &c., மூட்டைகட்ட. 2. To fabricate, invent a fiction, a slander, பொய்க்கதைகட்ட. 3. To be in close confinement. கட்டுக்கிடை--கட்டுக்கிடையன், s. Cloth or other goods lying long unsold, நாட்பட்டசரக்கு. கட்டுக்குத்தகை, s. A contract or lease of land for many years together, a contract for a whole dhoney without reference to the number of trips, the weight of the cargo, &c. கட்டுக்கூட்டு, s. One who has been frequently bound. கட்டுத்தளர, inf. To grow slack --as a tie; to be loose--as a bale, &c. கட்டுத்தறி, s. [prop. கட்டிதிர ள.] To form or swell--as a tumor. கட்டுத்தையல், s. A kind of firm sewing. கட்டுத்தோணி--கட்டுப்படகு, s. A dhoney or vessel of which the seams are sewed together. கட்டுப்பட, inf. To yield to, to submit, be influenced by, be brought under the power of, be overcome by, கட் டுக்குள்ளடங்க. 2. To be bound by spells or otherwise restrained, மந்திரமுதலியவற் றாற்கட்டுப்பட. 3. To be constipated--as the system; to be obstructed--as waters, as humors in the system, blood, urine, menstruation, &c., தடைப்பட. ஒருமயிரினாலேகட்டுப்படுவான். He may be bound by a single hair; i. e. he will be easily persuaded or prevailed upon. கட்டுப்படுத்த, inf. To mix and drink; i. e. stir up the sediment, wash off what adheres to the cup, &c.--as medicines. கலக்கிக்குடிக்கிறபதத்திளநீர். Cocoanut of an age proper to mix the kernel and drink it. கலக்கிவிட, inf. To beat one in dispute, to confute. 2. To threaten, intimidate. 3. To stir up, agitate--as water. 4. A bunch of unripe fruits. காய்ச்சீர், s. [in prosody.] Any of the four metrical feet ending in காய்காய்; also, a metrical foot equivalent in measure to a foot in காய். See சீர். காய்த்தானியம், s. The nine kinds of grains, called முதிரை, நவதானியம். 2. A shrub, கம்பளிகொண்டான், Morus Indica. காய்பறிக்க, inf. To pluck unripe fruits. காய்மடி, s.
