cuṇṭu (p. 193) கிறது, சுண்டினது, ம், சுண்ட, v. n. To dry up as in boiling, stewing, simmering, &c., to be evaporated by heat, கறிமுதலியனசுண்ட. 2. To be dried, lessened, as the blood of an emaciated person, இரத்தஞ்சு ண்ட. 3. To pinch internally, gripe throb, வயிறுசுண்ட. 4. To impinge--as a strained line, or bow-string in reaction, கயிறுசுண்ட. 5. To be tight, as a string or as a muscle in cramp, &c., நரம்புமுதலியனஇழுக்க. (c.) சுண்டக்கட்ட, inf. [prov. fig.] To strain and fasten, as a rope tied to posts, அழுத்திக்கட்ட. சுண்டக்காய, inf. To boil and dry away. சுண்டக்காய்ச்ச, inf. A person with an amputated nose; in contempt, மூக்கறைப்பயல். மூக்கறைச்சி--மூக்கறைப்பெண், s. [masc. மூக்கறையன்.] A woman deprived of her nose by amputation or disease. மூக்கறையனுக்குவாழ்க்கைப்பட்டால்முன்னும்போ கவிடான்பின்னும்போகவிடான். A woman whose husband has no nose can neither go forward nor backward; applied to a fickleminded master. மூக்கன், s. A man with a large nose. See காக்கைமூக்கன். மூக்காங்கொழுந்து--மூக்குக்கொழுந்து, s. End of the nose. மூக்காலேபோகிறசீவன். A living being which breathes its last by the nose; said of men in contempt. மூக்காலேயழுதல், v. noun. Snivelling, crying through the nose. மூக்கிலி, appel. n.
