ulṟu (p. 66) கிறது, உலறினது, ம், உலற, v. n. To be worn out, as clothes, &c., சிதைய. 2. To become dry, to wither, காய. 3. To become rough, shaggy, loose, brushy--as hair, to bristle up, சிலும்ப. 4. ciluppu (p. 186) கிறேன், சிலுப்பினேன், வேன், சி லுப்ப, v. a. The bristle, erect the hair, raise the quills as a porcupine; to dishevel, to make rough or shaggy, மயிர்நெறிக்கச்செய்ய. 2. (Tel.) To turn or shake the head in disdain or displeasure, &c., தலையசைக்க. 3. To stir, move, agitate, கலக்க. 5. To churn, தயிர்கடைய. சிலுப்பிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறான். He is angry, he bristles about. pṉṟi (p. 304) s. A hog, a swine, வராகம், vulgarly, பண்ணி. 2. A Tamil country. See கொடுந்தமிழ்நாடு.--Of hogs are, ஊர்ப்பன்றி, domestic hog; காட்டுப்பன்றி, wild hog; ஏய்ப் பன்றி, முள்ளம்பன்றி, a hedge hog, porcupine, கடற்பன்றி, a sea hog; இனப்பன்றி, கிளைப்பன்றி, wild hog in the herd. பன்றியோடிணங்கியகன்றுமலந்தின்னும். Even the calf, if associated with the hog, will eat excrement. பன்றிபோலேதின்கிறவன், appel. n. One who gormandizes like a hog. பன்றிக்கரணம், s. One of the astrological karna. Any thorny shrub, முட் செடிப்பொது. 2. The Indian night shade, Solanum Indicum; L. The root is used as a decoction in dysuria and Ischuria, ஓர்பூண்டு. --Note. Of முள்ளி are அடுக்குமுள்ளி, a thorn-bush, Indian Hyssop; ஆற்று முள்ளி, a thorny plant growing near rivers; கழுதைமுள்ளி, a thorn bush, Acanthus ilicifolius; செம்முள்ளி, a thorny plant, Barleria; நீர்முள்ளி, another thorny plant; வறள்முள்ளி, a medicinal thorn-bush. முள்ளிக்கீரை--முள்ளுக்கீரை, s. A species of prickly greens. See கீரை. முள்ளிலவு, s. A tree, Bombax heptaphyllum. முள்ளிழைப்புளி, s. A sort of plane. முள்ளுக்கரப்பன், s. A tingling kind or eruption with pimples. முள்ளுடைமூலம், s.
