To impute, to accuse, to attribute falsely, to impugn, குற்றஞ்சாற்ற. 3. To make excuse or pretext of a thing, to act under cover of something else, to evade, போக்குச்சொல்ல. (c.) 4. (R.) To beat or strike, அடிக்க. கோவிலைச்சாட்டிவயிறுவளர்க்கிறான். He maintains himself under the pretence of serving (begging for) the temple. சாட்டிக்கழிக்க, inf. To shift off; to get rid of by a reference to some other thing; to manage artfully. 2. To give sparingly, to distribute scantily. சாட்டிக்கொள்ள, inf. To take on one a debt due by another, to take the responsibility of a debt. சாட்டிவிட, inf. To transfer a debt to another. சாட்டு, v. noun. Consigning, transferring, ஒப்பிக்கை. 2.
