cēṭaṉ (p. 207) --சேஷன், s. The king of the serpent race, a species of demigods of the cobra form. He is described as superior in wisdom and intelligence, having one thousand heads, on one of which he supports the world. He is also reputed as forming both the couch and the canopy of Vishnu; also written ஆதிசேடன், or அனந்தன். 2. A servant, அடிமை. 3. A youth, lad, younger brother, தம்பி. 4. [com.] ( சேடச்சி.) A weaver of certain tribe, நெய்வோன். 5. (fem. சேடி.) A good or virtuous young man. கட்டிளமையோன்; [ex சேடு.] 6. A familiar friend, companion, an associate, தோழன். (p.) சேஷசாயி--சேடசாயி, s. Vishnu.
