cōr (p. 212) --சோரு, கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், சோ ர, v. n. To languish, droop; to be prostrate of lifeless, as the limbs in sleep; to be weary, tired, exhausted, faint, தரை. 2. To faint, swoon, களைக்க. 3. To be infatuated or love-sick, மதிமயங்க. 4. To slip off, slip down as clothes, to become uncovered--as a person asleep, சீலைசோர. 5. To trickle down silently, and copiously-as tears, blood, milk, &c., கண்ணீர்முதலிய சொரிய. 6. To flow or glide down--as fluids; to ooze out, நீர்சொரிய. 7. To falter, as words, சொற்சோர. 8. To gush out, shoot or flow out; protrude, பிரிட்டோட. 9. To fall, drop, be dropped, விழ. 1. To become loose, as rings, சுழல. 11. To fade, wither, வாட. 12. To be faulty, blameable, குற்றஞ் செய்ய. 13. To be dejected, dispirited, melancholy, மனஞ்சோர. 14. To grow slack, loose, &c.--as a rope, அவிழ. 15. To fall-as rain in a shower, சொரிய. 16. [improp. for சுவறு, (v.)] To be absorbed in the system as oil, &c. (c.) சோர்ந்துகிடக்கிறான். He is fainting or languishing. சோரப்போட, inf. To let an affair the still. 2. To let a commodity lie. in hopes of getting it cheaper. 3. To appear careless, as an adversary, till an opportunity offer. சோரத்தேய்க்க, inf. To rub oil well in. See சுவறத்தேய்க்க. சோரப்பெய்ய, inf. To rain profusely. சோரவிட, inf. To go slack--as a rope. 2. To let slip, literally or figuratively. காரியத்தைச்சோரவிடாதே. Do not let the business drop. சோர்ந்துபோக, inf. To faint and fall, to slip off. சோர்வாதம், s. [prov.] Loss of life or power in a limb, &c., அயர்ச்சி. கைகால்சோர, inf. To droop--as to the limbs. சொற்சோர, inf. To falter in voice. 2. To fall in a promise. சோரல், v. noun. Drooping, fainting. சோர்தல். சோர்--சோர்பு, v. noun. Sadness. 2. Lassitude. சோர்வு, v. noun. Languishing, drooping, swooning, சோர்தல். 2. Weakness, failure in strength or mental powers, மெலிவு. 3. Carelessness, listlessness. inattention, negligence, remissness in duty, மறதி. 4. Dropping, falling off, slipping off--as clothes, trickling down, சீலைமுதலியனசோர்கை. 5. That which is lost by theft, or embezzlement, இழந்து விடுகை. 6. Moral blemish, fault, failure, ஒழுக்கஞ்சோர்கை. 7. Dejection, despondency, மனத்தளர்ச்சி. 8. Growing slack or loose, சுழலுகை. சோர்வறப்படித்தவன், appel. n. One who has learned thoroughly. சோர்வாய்ப்போக, inf. To be lost, to disappear. சோர்வில்லாமுயற்சி, s. Indefatigable energy and application. சோர்வுபார்க்க, inf. To spy, watch for opportunity, in order to pilfer. Compare வேவுபார்க்க. சொற்சோர்வு, v. noun. Faltering in speech. See சொல். 118)
