kommṭṭi (p. 146) s. [vul. குமட்டி.] A class of running plants of the melon or gourd kind, the water-melon plant, ஒர்கொடி, Cucurbita citrullus, L. சர்க்கரைக்கொம்மட்டி, சிறுகொம்மட்டி, பெருங் கொம்மட்டி, பேய்க்கொம்மட்டி, வத்தாக்குக்கொம்மட் டி, are varicties of கொம்மட்டி. See those words. கொம்மட்டிக்காய், s. A melon or gourd; water-melon. கொம்மட்டிக்கீரை, s. A kind of greens. See under கீரை. கொம்மட்டிச்சுரை, s.
