(சது.) Edible or other tuberous roots, கிழங்கு. சகுனசாத்திரம், s. Augury, or the science of omens. சகுனத்தடை--சகுனப்பிழை, s. Ill omens. சகுனத்தடையாயிருக்க, inf. To meet with a bad sign or omen. சகுனத்தடையாய்ச்சொல்ல, inf. To hinder a business by asking questions. சகுனம்பார்த்தல், v. noun. Practising augury, or observing omens. துர்ச்சகுனம்--அவசகுனம், s.
