elumpu (p. 74) s. A bone, அஸ்தி. எலும்புக்கூடு--முழுவெலும்பு, s. A skeleton, கங்காளம். எலும்புச்சீப்பு, s. The rib-bones, விலாவெலும்பு. 2. A bone-comb, தந்தச்சீப்பு. எலும்புருக்கி, s. To suffer pain when lying down, &c., by the protrusion of the bones. எலும்பூற, inf. To knit, to unite, coalesce--as a broken bone, ஒடிந்தவெலும் புகூட. நெஞ்செலும்பு--மார்பெலும்பு, s. The sternum. குண்டியெலும்பு, s. The os sacrum. சவடியெலும்பு--காறையெலும்பு, s. The clavicle. துடையெலும்பு, s. The thigh-bone. காலெலும்பு, s. The bones of the leg--tibia and febula. நடுவெலும்பு, s. The spine, the back-bone. பழுவெலும்பு, s. The rib-bones. முள்ளெலும்பு, s. The vertebra. 3)

kāṟai (p. 106) s. A golden or silver collar, a neck-ring for a lad, கழுத்தணியிலொன்று. 2. [prov.] A blade of grass or straw, வைக் கோல்முதலியவற்றின்காறை. 3. Plastering. See காரை. காறையெலும்பு, s. Collar-bone, clavicle. பட்்டைக்காறை--சாந்துக்காறை, are different kinds of collars. 41)
