coṟi (p. 212) கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், ய, v. n. To itch, tingle, as severe itching, நமை யுண்டாக. 2. v. a. To scratch in order to allay itching, சுறண்ட. 3. (fig.) To crave, solicit meanly, கெஞ்சிக்கேட்க. (c.) சொறிகட்டை, s. [prov.] A rubbing stone or post, for cattle. சொறிகட்டையானவன், appel. n. A mean, spiritless person; (lit.) a rubbing post. சொறிகரப்பன், s. Scurf that causes intense itching. சொறிசிரங்கு, s. Small itch. See சிர ங்கு. சொறிந்துகொடுக்க, inf. To urge, incite, pat. சொறிந்துகொண்டிராமல்சுறுக்காகச்செய்.
