tṟ (p. 230) . A particle for தன்; the ன் is changed as தற். Sa. தற்காக்க, inf. To preserve, to protect, chiefly as the deity or other superior. இரட்சிக்க. 2. One's own peculiar nature or form of existence, சுயரூபம்; used chiefly of the deity. தற்சுட்டு, s. self-reference, தன்னைச் சுட்டுகை. தற்சுந்தரம், s. One's own property. தற்பாடி, appel. n. A lark, வானம் பாடி. (R.) தற்புகழ்ச்சி, s. Self-praise, self-applause, self-complacency. தற்புணர்ச்சி, v. noun. Self-pollution, onanism, சுயபுணர்ச்சி. தற்பொழிவு, v. noun. Self-interest. தற்போதம், s. Self-knowledge, knowledge of the soul and deity, தன்னையுங் கடவுளையும் அறியுமறிவு. 2.
