neḷi (p. 281) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. and v. a. To cause to bend, incline, twist, வளைக்க. 2. To bend, wriggle or distort the body in walking, commonly in affectation, அசைக்க. 3. To make proud, disdainful, affected gestures, in contempt of one; to mimic, நிமிர்ந்துநடக்க. 4. To be insolent, கர்வங்காட்ட. (c.) எழுத்தைநெளித்தெழுதுகிறான். He makes crooked letters in writing. இடுப்பைநெளித்துநடக்கிறான். She walks with a wriggling motion of the hips. நெளித்துநடக்க--நெளித்துக்கொண்டுந டக்க, inf. pṭṭiṉi (p. 291) s. [vul. பட்டிணி.] Destitution of food, hunger, sometimes from fasting or abstinence, through urgency, or medical prescription, உண்ணாதிருத்தல். (c.) பட்டினிகாத்தல், v. noun. Going without food at a funeral house. பட்டினிகிடக்க, inf. To starve, commonly from necessity; spoken in comtempt. பட்டினிபொறுத்தல், v. noun. [prov.] Suffering hunger. பட்டினிபோடுதல், v. noun.
