Some reckon the following four kinds; viz.: 1. தன்பொருட் டனுமானம். 2. பிறர்பொருட்டனுமானம். 3. அன் னுவயவனுமானம். 4. வெதிரேகவனுமானம். The quality of paddy, &c., imperfectly or moderately dried after boiling, நெல்முதலியவற்றின்காய்ச்சற்கு றைவு. 7. The state of being slightly parched, toasted, &c., வறுபடாப்பொரி. இளம்பயிர், s. Young shoots of corn, corn in a fit state to be transplanted. இளம்பருவம்--இளம்பிராயம், s. Juvenility, youth, early stage of existence. இளம்பறியல், s. utir (p. 60) --உதிரு, கிறது, உதிர்ந்தது, உ திரும், உதிர, v. n. To drop off, fall off--as leaves, fruits, &c.; to be blasted, nipped, to fall off--as the hair, by disease or age, சொரிய. 2. To be shaken with the wind or otherwise, அசைக்கப்பட்டுதிர. 3. To crumble, fall to pieces as cakes (பிட்டு), பிதிர. 4. To fall as tears, சிந்த. 5. To die (used in imprecations), சாவ. நீசீக்கிரமுதிர்ந்துபோவாய். You shall die soon (a curse). தாரகையுதிர்ந்த. The stars fell. (ஸ்காந்தம்.) பூவுதிரப்பிஞ்சுதிரக்காயுதிரக்கனியுதிர. Let blossoms, buds, unripe fruits, and fruits drop off; i. e. let people of all ages die--an imprecation. உதிர்ந்தசருகு, s. Withered leaves fallen from the tree. உதிர்ந்தசருகுணவொழியவுணவில்லான். Loose sand a little moist. இலையுதிர்காலம், s. The season of the fall of the leaf. உதிரி, s. That which falls off, or is separated, exfoliation, உதிர்ந்தது. 2. A disease, smallpox of various kinds, so called from the scabs falling off, ஓர்வைசூரி. 3. A species of plantain, ஓர்வகைவாழை. உதிரிக்குத்து, s. Aching pain incident to one attacked with உதிரி. உதிரித்தழும்பு, s. The pits left by the smallpox, அம்மைவடு. வரகுதிரி, s. A species of smallpox whose pustules are remarkably diminutive, like வரகு seeds. சருகுதிரி, s. A species of smallpox attended by the sloughing away of the affected flesh. மிளகுதிரி, s. A species of smallpox, the pustules of which are the size of pepper seeds. கல்லுதிரி, s. A species of smallpox the pustules of which are very large. உதிர், s. Powder, dust, any thing crumbled, பொடி. உதிர்வு, v. noun. Falling off, &c., உதிர்கை. 2. Crumbling to pieces, உகுகை. 20)

uḷṟu (p. 67) கிறேன், உளறினேன், வேன், உளற. v. n. To clamor without sense, bawl, utter unmeaning vociferations, குழற. 2. To cry out through alarm, பயத்தினாற்றடு மாறிப்பேச. 3. To be confused through fear and to speak incoherently, indistinctly, or inconsistently, to give confused evidence, வீணாயுளற. 4. To utter incoherent sounds--as a person dreaming, கனாக்கண்டு பிதற்ற. உளறுதல், s. A great noise, பே ரொலி. உளறுபடி, s. Incoherence in speaking, குழறுகை. 2. Confusion in business, கலக்கம். 38)

ēktēcm (p. 76) s. Rareness, scarceness, a rare, extraordinary or prodigious occurrence, அருமை. 2. Anomaly, difference, excentricity, வேற்றுமை. 3. A blunder, a mistake; difference as above or below the mark; greater or less, disparity; unfitness, incongruity, disagreement, inconsistency, ஒவ்வாமை. 4. Exception to a general rule, ஒரோவிடத்துவிதிபிறழ்வு. 5. Undefinedness, uncertainty, fickleness, சந்தேகம். ஏகதேசத்திலுநினைத்திருக்கவில்லை. I never even once thought of it. ஏகதேசமில்லை. It is without error, not different, exact. இந்தநிலமேகதேசமாயிருக்கிறது. This ground is uneven. அதற்குமிதற்குமிகவுமேகதேசம். There is a great difference between that and this. இங்கேநின்றேகதேசமாய்ப்பேசப்படாது. Don't use scurrilous language here. 11)

o (p. 81) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To resemble, to equal, to be like, to match, நிகர்க்க. 2. v. n. To be fit, be suitable, to consist with, be adapted to, தகுதி யாயிருக்க. 3. To be equal, be parallel, alike, to match, to tally, correspond, சமமாயிருக்க. 4. To agree, consent to, allow, yield in argument, பொருந்த. ஒக்கும். It will agree, be proper, suitable, fit, like the same. ஒக்கும்வகையினால். By mutual agreement. (El. 291.) (p.) ஒத்தகுடிப்பிறந்தோர். Those born in families of equal rank that may inter-marry. எத்தால்வாழலாம்--ஒத்தால் வாழலாம். [vul.] How may we prosper? we may prosper by promoting concord. அதனோடொக்கும்--அதற்கொக்கும்--அதையொக் கும். It equals or is like that. விதியெனினும் விகாரமெனினுஞ்செயற்கையெனினு மொக்கும். In grammar, விதி, விகாரம் and செ யற்கை are synonymes. வில்லொக்கும்புருவம். Eye-brows resembling a bow. மக்களேபோல்வர்கயவரவரன்னவொப்பாரியாங்கண் டதில். The base among men are formed like others. We see no other two classes of beings that do so resemble each other. ஒக்க, inf. [used adverbially.] Together with, in company with, கூட. 2. Plentifully, bountifully, numerously. ஒக்கக்கிடக்கிறது. There is abundance. ஒக்கப்படித்தவர். One who has learned much--commonly in sarcasm. ஒக்கப்பிறந்தவர்கள். Children of the same mother. ஒக்கவில்லை. There is not much. ஊரொக்கக்கொள்ளைகொண்டுண்டவன்சுற்றம் போல் வேரொக்கக்கெடுமூலவியாதியே. The hemorrhoids will be as thoroughly extirpated (by this specific) as the posterity of one who plundered the whole village. ஒக்கப்போக, inf. To join in company with. ஒத்த, rel. part. Conformable, suitable, consistent, equal. அப்படிக்கொத்தது. Such. பிறரைவருத்துவதற்கொத்தபாவமில்லை. There is no sin equal to that of afflicting others. ஒத்தசனம்--ஒத்தசாதி, s. ottirukkiṟcāṭci (p. 81) s. A concurring witness, a consistent evidence in the view of the world. காரியமெல்லாமொத்திருக்கிறது. All things lead to the same conclusion. 2. The affairs are all successful, favorable, satisfactory. 3. The matters suit in all points--as in a marriage, &c. 14)

The appreciation of that which is suitable, agreeable. ஒப்புரவாக, inf. To be reconciled. ஒப்புரவாயிருக்க, inf. To be tolerably well-said of a sick person, &c. ஒப்புரவுசெய்ய, inf. ovvu (p. 84) கிறது, ஒவ்வினது, ம், ஒவ்வ, v. n. To agree, to be congruous, consistent, to be fit, பொருந்த. ஒவ்வாக்கூட்டிலுந்தனிமையழகு. Solitude is preferable to bad society. ஒவ்வாப்பேச்சுவசையோடொக்கும்.
