iḷi (p. 56) s. Disgrace, degradation, meanness, baseness, contempt, contumely, scorn, இகழ்ச்சி. 2. A token of scorn or contempt, grinning, இகழ்ச்சிக்குறிப்பு. 3. Laughter, சிரிப்பு. 4. Ridicule, derision, silly laughter, அவமதிச்சிரிப்பு. 5. A cerebral tone in singing, one of the seven tones of the gamut, supposed to proceed from the forehead, நெற்றியிற்பிறக்குமிசை. 6. A string of the lute whose sound is in unison with the cerebral tone, யாழிலோர்நரம்பு. 7. Junction, union, இணக்கம். (p.) இளிவரின்வாழாதமானமுடையார். iḷi (p. 56) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. To grin, show the teeth--as in cringing, craving, &c., பல்லிளிக்க. 2. To laugh in a silly manner, to simper, giggle, களகளவெனச்சிரிக்க. 3. v. a. To ridicule, scorn, deride, பரிகாசஞ்செய்ய. 4. To disgrace, contemn, அவமதிக்க. (c.) இளித்தவாய்ப்பட்டம், s. Notoriety for grinning, இளிச்சவாயனெனப்படுகை. 2. The character of a sauntering idler. 3. The state or character of one baffled or defeated in his projects. குரங்குபோலிளித்தவாயன். One who grins like a monkey. பல்லையிளிக்க, inf. To laugh foolishly. இளிச்சற்கண், s. Blear eyes, eyes sore with rheum. இளிப்பு--இளிவு, v. noun. Grinning, simpering, tittering, பல்லிளிக்கை. 2. Ridicule, scorn, derision, இழிவு. 3. Disgrace, நிந்தை. நாயையடித்துப்பல்லிளிவுபார்க்கிறதினாலேயென் ன? What will it avail to strike a dog and then look at its grin? [prov.] எள்ளினிளிவாமென்றெண்ணி. Considering that it would be disrespectful to neglect him. (குறள்.) 8)

uvr (p. 66) க்கிறது, த்தது, க்கும், க்க, v. n. To taste salt or brackish, உப்புக்கரிக்க. 2. To taste harsh, astringent, &c.--as any of the mineral salts, துவர்க்க. 3. To be unpleasant, disagreeable, &c., அரோசிக்க. 4. v. a. [with personal terminations.] To dislike, abhor, feel aversion to, வெறுக்க. உவர், v. noun. Dislike, loathing, வெறுப்பு. உவர்ப்பு, v. noun. ekkcckkm (p. 73) s. [vul.] Confusion, jumble, huddle, disorder, தாறுமாறு. 2. (Tel. எக்கஸக்கஎமு.) Unevenness, irregularity, ஒழுங்கின்மை. 3. Difference, Disparity, வித்தியாசம். 4. Scorn, derision, நிந்தை. எக்கச்சக்கமானஇடம் பத்திரமாய்ப்போ. This is an uneven, dangerous place, go cautiously. காரியமெக்கச்சக்கமாய்வந்திருக்கின்றது. The thing is ended in confusion. The affair has turned out disastrously; some danger is apprehended. எக்கச்சக்கமாய்ப்பேச, inf. To insult a person, use uncivil language. 2. To give an indirect answer, to speak at random. எக்கச்சக்கமானஆள், s. A faithless person. 2. An indecent person. 3. One who confuses every thing. எக்கச்சக்கம்பண்ண, inf. To derange things, put in confusion, huddle, jumble, தாறுமாறுசெய்ய. 2. To be insincere, to act differently from one's professions, or contrary to instructions, அகடவிகடஞ்செய்ய. 7)
