aṭukku (p. 8) s. A pile, row, tier, regular arrangement of goods or things, regular series, order, adjustment, system, வரி சை. 2. Orderly arrangements of subjects, the heads or topics in a writing or discourse, &c., எழுதுமுறை. 3. Four threads of yarn-in use among weavers, நூலடுக்கு. (c.) 4. Repetition of a phrase implying alarm, &c., with no other words intervening, அடுக்குச் சொல், as தீத்தீத்தீ, fire, fire, fire. (p.) 5. [in anat.] A layer, சிரேணி. அடுக்கடுக்காகவைக்க, inf. The affair has turned out disastrously; some danger is apprehended. எக்கச்சக்கமாய்ப்பேச, inf. To insult a person, use uncivil language. 2. To give an indirect answer, to speak at random. எக்கச்சக்கமானஆள், s. A faithless person. 2. An indecent person. 3. One who confuses every thing. எக்கச்சக்கம்பண்ண, inf. To derange things, put in confusion, huddle, jumble, தாறுமாறுசெய்ய. 2. To be insincere, to act differently from one's professions, or contrary to instructions, அகடவிகடஞ்செய்ய. 7)
