To set, descend below the horizon--as the sun, அஸ்தமிக்க. 4. (fig.) To plunge or bathe, to be daubed or covered with, மூழ்க. 5. (Rott.) mṇl (p. 341) s. Sand, gravel, dust--of sands are கருமணல், black sand; பருமணல், coarse sand; வெண்மணல், வெள்ளைமணல், white sand; நுண்மணல், பொடிமணல், fine sand. மணலிலேதைலம்வடிக்கிறது. Extorting with rigor; (lit.) extracting oil from sand. 2. Endeavoring to make gain from small things. 2. Borrowing or recovering a debt with difficulty. மணலூற்று, s. A spring in a sandy soil, a well. மணல்வாரி, appel. n. A fine kind of rice. ஓர்நெல். 2. A sand-scraper, மணல் நீக்குங்கருவி. மணற்காளான்--மணற்கூகை, s. [fig.] A frog, தவளை. மணற்குன்று--மணற்றிட்டை, s.
