[usage.] பாசபந்தர்--பாசபந்திகள்--பாசபெத் தர்--பாசபெந்தர், s. [pl.] Those engrossed, or bound by the entanglements of matter, the senses, &c. பாசபாணி, s. Varuna, வருணன். 2. Messenger of Yama, இயமதூதன்; (lit.) the rope-armed. 2. Yama, the god of death, நமன்; [ex பரணி, hand.] பாசமோசனம்--பாசவிமோசனம், s. Release of the soul from earthly entanglements. பாசம்வீச, inf. To cast the noose, as Yama, to capture the soul at death; to cast a noose, on the foe in battle. பாசவிருள், s. The darkness of illusion from மும்மலம், or the threefold defilements, ஆணவம், மாயை, and காமியம். பாசவைராக்கியம், s. Settled hatred of the principle of evil in the senses, leading to self-denial and rigid austerities, பாசத்தைவெறுக்கை. பாசன், s. The soul as subject to births and mundane attachments, சீவன். (சது.) 2.
