Hindu physiologists fancy that the mind descends from its seat in the forehead to its other seats, the neck, breast, umbilicus and terminus rectum. (தத்துவக். சிவ. சி.) கீழிருக்க, inf. Origin, that which is primitive, chief, or principal, முதன்மை. He who would steal one-twentieth even of his mother's gold--a maxim on the thievishness of goldsmiths. தாய்முகங்காணாதபிள்ளை. A child early bereaved of its mother. தாய்முலைப்பாலிலும்உப்புப்பார்க்கிறவன். One who tries even his mother's milk to see if it is not salt; i. e. a distrustful, mistrustful, sceptical person. தாய்சொற்சிறந்தவாசகமில்லை. No word is like that of a mother. (Avv.) தாயினும்அன்பர்கர்த்தர். The Divine Being more loving than a mother. (Christ. usage.) தாய்க்குள்ளதுமகளுக்கு. As the mother, so the daughter. தாயாடு, s. A dam. தாயேடு--தாயோலை, s.
